Doug Brimm Selected as Columbia's Next City Administrator

Brimm has been selected by the Mayor and City Council to be Columbia's next City Administrator with an anticipated starting date of September 9th. Douglas R. Brimm, a Dupo native, brings 10 years of local government management experience to the City of Columbia.  For the past 7 years, He has served as the first City Administrator for the City of Trenton, Illinois where he worked to oversee construction of a new wastewater treatment plant, revitalized the City's economic development efforts, and modernized City government.  He previously held the position of Management Analyst for the City of Collinsville, Illinois.  Brimm holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Public Administration and Policy Analysis Degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Brimm currently resides in Trenton with his wife, Alicia, and three children, Leah, Charlie, and Hannah.  They plan to relocate to Columbia.
