    Children of all ages in Columbia can get a free lunch during the summer provided by TWIGS, a charitable non-profit organization, and distributed by Bethany United Methodist Church. Lunches are distributed Monday thru Friday from 11:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The TWIGS organization has been providing free summer lunches throughout the Metro-East since 2011.     In order to gain public input for the proposed Quarry Road and Palmer Creek Drive/Father Carl Scherrer Drive Intersection Improvements the City of Columbia will be holding a public information meeting. The proceeding of the meeting will be informal and individuals will have the opportunity to ask questions about the project. City staff and representatives from the City’s consulting engineers and ICS engineers will be present to answer questions and record comments offered by those in attendance. Preliminary drawings and effects on properties will be available for inspection at the meeting.
